AEC Drone Services, LLC is a fast-growing Miami-based startup that provides drone services to manage inspections and data collection for commercial and residential construction, solar farm maintenance, and infrastructure inspections with drones and aerial thermography. AEC Drone Services, LLC is in compliance with all Federal Aviation Administration regulations and procedures pertaining to small unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) outlined in 14 CFR Part 107.  We work with customers across the industry, including Brokers, Property Managers, Owners, Builders, and Operators.

Remote Pilot In Command Level 1 

Start Date: June 2020 (or flexible with academic calendar)

 

About the Position:

As the Remote Pilot in Command (RPIC) - Level 1 you are responsible for the safety, efficient operation of the unmanned aerial system (UAS). The RPICs duties include conducting operational flights and overseeing vehicle performance, flying qualities, and capabilities of UAS systems. This position requires that the RPIC may travel in their personal vehicle or be riding and driving in a AEC Drone Services, LLC vehicle on and off property. Due to the safety sensitive nature of this position, you will be required to be placed in a drug and alcohol testing pool.  

In addition, but not limited to: Job Duties: * Conduct pre-flight planning to include operational briefings, analyzing weather forecasts, Notice to Airmen (NOTAMs), and airspace requirements. * Execute operational needs and mission requirements for each customer. * Document and complete pre/post UAS logs. * Perform equipment testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance. * Document inventory of UAS spares/components and maintenance actions. * Communicate and coordinate with internal and external entities for safe flight operations. * Stand, sit, stoop, squat, crouch, crawl, walk, run, and climb or descend stairs. * Carry a UAS approximately (55 lbs.) * Must be willing to travel to customer sites as required, may include travel in personal vehicle.

 

Approved expenses will be reimbursed by the company guidelines. Minimum Qualifications: * This position requires that the RPIC may travel in their personal vehicle as needed and/or ride and drive in a AEC Drone Services vehicle on and off property to transport drone equipment. * Pre-employment drug test and post-employment random drug test required * Hold a current Remote Pilot Certificate (Part 107) required. * Have a valid drivers license required. * Have authorization to work in the United States required. * Have a minimum of 6 months of aviation experience either or combination of:  Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Experience and/or Flight (Rotary or Fixed Wing) required. * High school or higher from an accredited school preferred. * Hold a current FAA Commercial Certificate or any other FAA Airmen Certificate considered preferred. * Experience with a Ground Control Station software (Mission Planner, QGroundControl, etc) preferred.

 

Experience with any of the following are advantageous: client communications, scheduling, systems management, drones, and FAA Part 107 rules and regulations.

Requirements:

Must have your own drone. The DJI Phantom 4 series, Mavic 2 pro or Mavic 2 Zoom

Flight Operations Intern

Start Date: June-August 2020 (or flexible with academic calendar)

 

About the Position:

The flight operations intern will be responsible for the organization of a flight scheduling system, communication with pilots and clients regarding scheduling, data requirements, and data transfers. The intern will work closely with the sales, customer success, and project management teams. Specific interests and talents include, but are not limited to unmanned aerial vehicles (drones), organization of complex systems with many moving parts, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

 

Experience with any of the following are advantageous: client communications, scheduling, systems management, drones, a FAA Part 107 or the desire to obtain one.

Quality Specialist

About the Position:

Your primary role will be to make sure we are delivering the best results and the best experience to our customers. You will need to be able to learn quickly and use new software tools. You will provide valuable insight into our quick-paced product development process. Any previous experience with mapping, drones, or geospatial information systems is a big plus.

 

Skills: Strong computer and communication skills.

Marketing Intern

 

Start Date: June-August 2020 (or flexible with academic calendar)

 

About the Position:

 

You will drive our growth by educating our customer base and attracting new customers through various types of web, social, and print media. You should be able to engage in technical conversations as well as synthesize and summarize information. You’ll help generate content for our blog and resellers as well as sample deliverables for prospective deals. The position will require a strong candidate who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, is a highly motivated self-starter, and possess the ability to manage multiple projects effectively. An eye for good design, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills are required. Experiences in content marketing, social media, and web design are pluses.

 

Skills: Website editing, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Hubspot (or equivalent).
