Who We Are

AEC Drone Services, LLC is a, full-service Drone Inspection, Photography, Videography Company, Licensed, Certified, and Insured in South Florida. Founded by Nelson Salazar, Co-Founder Nicholas M. Salazar

& Patrick J. Rebull P.E. with over ten years of Drone Piloting Experience, Forensic Engineering, Construction

& Consulting. Licensed and Certified by the Federal Aviation Administration is required to fly drones commercially, including drones for photography and video footage. AEC Flight Teams are FAA-Licensed and Certified drone pilots who have earned their Remote Pilot Licensed after passing the FAA's test and completing a course

to learn the FAA's Small Unmanned Aircraft Regulations (Part 107), along with the Unmanned Aircraft Systems Airman Certification Standards. ​

License & Certification

Without license and certification, it’s illegal to fly drones commercially. For a photographer or video production company to offer drone photos and videos to their clients, license and certification is required.

Flying drones is also more complicated than you might think. Because they are unmanned aircraft, FAA regulations apply. Drone pilots must know how to:

​

• Read weather patterns

• Determine different airspace classifications

• Read sectional maps

• Determine temporary airspace restrictions

• Obtain authorization to fly in airspace other than Class G

• Use team members to increase safety

• Research NOTAMs (Notice to Airmen) regarding potential hazards along their flight routes

• File NOTAMs to alert other pilots of our drone activity

• File flight plans

• Maintain flight logs and equipment documents

Thermography Certification

ITC Infrared Thermography Certification is the gold-standard qualification within the thermography industry. ITC certification verifies that a thermographer can:

UAV Tower / Structure Certification training

Competent Drone Pilot – Telecom (CDP-T) is a training program to safely fly unmanned aircraft (drone) and become part of the PPE of a cell tower construction crew.   The 24 hour CDP-T (Competent Drone Pilot) Certificate of Completion course will allow a Tower owner, CM, PM, Foreman or the Competent Person to safely and legally fly a Small UAS (SUAS) around communication towers. We have developed best practices necessary to operate drones safely and efficiently in the telecommunications environment. CDP-T course consists 24 hrs (3 days) classroom and flight time. Tower Safety will provide the drones for flight practice during the Competent Drone Pilot course. A Competent Person CDP-T receives a Pilots License and Certificate of Completion is good for 3 years.

AEC Drone Services, LLC, is insured by Allianz Global Risks US Insurance Company providing professional liability insurance, general liability insurance and business owner insurance.

In addition, drone operations and equipment are insured under a $4m sUAS / Drone Liability Insurance Policy provided by Global Aerospace for the following operations: Aerial Photography, Mapping, Agriculture, Deliveries, Inspections, Surveillance, 3D Rendering, Social Media, Energy, Maintenance, Cinematography.
